Luxury hotels and resorts

Our stay at the Metropole Taormina Maison D’Hôtes was among the best holiday experiences we have ever had. Our accomodations, an unexpected upgrade, were amazing. The staff, food and location are spectacular. The reception staff, waitstaff (Maria was wonderful each morning) and the garage staff were a pleasure to work with. The pictures displayed on the website do not represent the reality, even if the reality is not bad. Let's say that this place is more a "resort" with 60+ rooms, and is giving the impression of an hotel, more than a charming house.. now, beach is impressive, food is great, nothing to really complaint for except the proximity between the swimming pool and the speedway. Again, pictures give a very different idea of the reality.

Besonders gut hat uns die natürliche Freundlichkeit und Höflichkeit des gesamten Personals fallen

Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen, aber einen Kritikpunkt möchten wir festhalten: Das Angebot beim Frühstück war grundsätzlich mangelhaft. Es gab wenig Auswahl, jeden Tag dasselbe und manchmal war z.B. das Rührei schlichtweg schlecht zubereitet. Es wäre in einem 4-Sterne-Hotel angebracht, etwas Abwechslung beim Frühstück zu haben und wesentlich mehr Gemüse und Obst anzubieten. Nur Tomaten und Melonen sind etwas dürftig. Ansonsten ist das Hotel sehr empfehlenswert und besonders hervorheben möchte ich die wirklich tolle Freundlichkeit Ihres Personals. Egal, ob bei der Rezeption oder im Restaurant oder in anderen Bereichen - alle Mitarbeiter waren superfreundlich und sehr zuvorkommend. Danke für den schönen Aufenthalt und liebe Grüße aus Österreich
