Monaci is a magical property, set in the foothills of Mt Etna and looking towards the sea. The views are extraordinary, the ambiance is restful and tranquil, with lower temperatures than at sea level and cooling breezes. It is a perfect spot to decompress and unplug from the workaday world. Our hosts Guido and Federica are charming and their vision is reflected in every aspect of the estate from the rooms to the dining areas, the pool area, the vineyards and orchards, the food and drink, and on site activities. The staff is universally friendly and helpful, with great team spirit. Be prepared for the occasional lapse in efficiency - this not a type A to the max establishment. We loved our stay and will certainly return.

La villa è immersa in un giardino curatissimo e profumato. La proprietaria è gentilissima e disponibile a consigliare escursioni e luoghi di ogni genere, ma mai invadente. Le colazioni abbondanti sono preparate con i loro prodotti naturali, la frutta squisita. Ho soggiornato per 3 notti con i miei figli e abbiamo potuto rilassarci nella privacy di questo giardino. La posizione è appena all'interno della costa ma comoda e facilmente raggiungibile. La villa è stata ristrutturata da poco e mantiene lo charme e l'ambientazione dell'epoca originaria.

Unequivocally, The Ashbee is one of the great hotels in all of Italy. The location is magical. Although, it is extremely convenient to the main part of Taormina, It is secluded, private and exclusive with astoundingly beautiful views of hills and the sea. The service was impeccable. Every person was professional, polite and friendly. They were conversationalists when you wanted to talk but never intruded when you wanted privacy. They were always helpful and were there when you needed them. In particular, the concierge was most helpful to every need or question. During our five day stay, the concierge desk, (in particular - Francesco) was knowledgeable about local attractions and restaurants and was extraordinarily accommodating to our every need. The Ashbee is the epitome of a luxury hotel. The hotel is appointed beautifully and provides the sense that you are in a private villa. The rooms are large and pleasing and the bathroom is modern and spotless. The hotel combines old world charm with all of the modern conveniences and appointments. In addition, the hotel has a fantastic restaurant providing further enjoyment to our stay. The dining experience was one of the two best experiences that we had in all of Sicily.
