Unequivocally, The Ashbee is one of the great hotels in all of Italy. The location is magical. Although, it is extremely convenient to the main part of Taormina, It is secluded, private and exclusive with astoundingly beautiful views of hills and the sea. The service was impeccable. Every person was professional, polite and friendly. They were conversationalists when you wanted to talk but never intruded when you wanted privacy. They were always helpful and were there when you needed them. In particular, the concierge was most helpful to every need or question. During our five day stay, the concierge desk, (in particular - Francesco) was knowledgeable about local attractions and restaurants and was extraordinarily accommodating to our every need. The Ashbee is the epitome of a luxury hotel. The hotel is appointed beautifully and provides the sense that you are in a private villa. The rooms are large and pleasing and the bathroom is modern and spotless. The hotel combines old world charm with all of the modern conveniences and appointments. In addition, the hotel has a fantastic restaurant providing further enjoyment to our stay. The dining experience was one of the two best experiences that we had in all of Sicily.

The rooms are very fine. Do take at taxi from Trapani airport to Baglio Oneto if you arrive late, It is difficult to find in the dark. Breakfast food and service is fantastic. Dinner is not as good as in many smaller restaurants in the area. The view from pool area is very nice. There is supposed to be Wi Fi ? but we could not make it work on iPhone.
