A very pleasant stay in a lovely bay.

The only good point about this hotel is its ideal position in the middle of the old city. Beside that, absolutely no value for money. We paid for a Superior Room and: room too small, dirty chairs and table on the balcony (= not useable), wi-fi not working, solarium not accessible. Careful: the access to the so called "swimming pool" is 25€/pax extra! On top of all that, the hotel manager showed no sympathy when we said that, due to a car accident, we would have arrived one night later. She did not even asked if we were OK and need something; she just wanted the night paid! What if we were hospitalised or dead in the accident? A 4 stars should imply a certain level of hosptality and service as well.

A lovely place to stay with a very warm and friendly welcome. The building is fascinating and our room was beautiful: simply furnished but very comfortable. A great location in the heart of Ortygia. We really enjoyed our stay and would fully recommend Alla Guidecca.
