Hey, Our experience was just ok in this hotel. The room was small but it was fine. The bathroom was ridiculously old and not very well designed. The shower was right beside the toilets without doors, just a small blinders. The tablet above the sink was very small and couldn't put much on it. The swimming pool and the terrasse was very nice with a lovely view. The main building is just awful and feel a retirement home. Design is poor and it smells chemical cleaning product. The breakfast experience was also very poor with a cold breakfast place and bad decoration. Overall, i wouldn't recommend this hotel for a charming week end.

My husband and I, together with our teenage children were fortunate enough to stay at Luxury Residence Taormina. We had a two bedroom apartment with a sea view and direct access to the cliff-edge pool. We loved the location, only 350m walk uphill to arrive at Taormina's piazza, filled with vibrant cafes and restaurants with fresh, delicious food and wine. The view was stunning, located within walking distance to gorgeous shops, a cable car to access Isola Bella and beaches and boat trips. There is no need to have a car if just staying in Taormina - simply beautiful and enjoyable. Would highly recommend the accommodation and the helpful host, Francesco - nothing was too much trouble, assisted with international posting to Australia, car parking and great recommendations. Mi sento di dire che l'unico neo da sottolineare è che il giorno della partenza, dovendo liberare la stanza entro le 12, ed avendo l'aereo alle ore 22 non abbiamo, nonostante richiesto, una camera d'appoggio e che quindi abbiamo utilizzato gli spogliatoi della piscina. Per un hotel del livello d Villa Igiea mi è risultato una forte caduta di stile. Grazie

We loved this 2 bedroomed apartment - plenty of space for the four of us (inc 2 teenaged boys) and a well equipped kitchen (though no dish washer). The sun terrace and pool were just outside our apartment - the views were fantastic and the pool really refreshing. The whole place was immaculately kept. Mr Fabbiano (the owner) was away when we arrived so we were met by a lady called Veronique who was very friendly and helpful and suggested some restaurants & a granite bar to us. She also told us about La Caravella beach club (with shuttle service) which we used one day - excellent. There's only space for 5 or 6 cars to park on the road just below the apartment. We were lucky and found a space each time - but it was the end of August and visitor numbers were dwindling. We didn't mind emptying the bins ourselves - we've had to do this elsewhere in Italy and in the south of France. Neither did we mind the walk up into town & back via the car park lift. (OK so there's no footpath, but the traffic is all moving slowly due to the hair pin bend and traffic lights).
